OVER A DECADE IN THE WEDDING INDUSTRY, AND A BELIEF THAT YOUR WEDDING SHOULD BE AN EXPERIENCE, NOT JUST A DAY.
Aurea grew from that idea. I wanted to create elopements that feel like so much more than a ceremony in a beautiful place. Days filled with thoughtful details, incredible experiences and the freedom to celebrate in a way that feels completely your own.
So that’s what I do - dream it up with you, thoughtfully plan every part of it, and be right there on the day to bring it all to life.
I’m Ella, the person behind Aurea Studio. My experience comes from more than a decade in the wedding industry, working across the UK and New Zealand alongside some incredibly talented people — and somewhere along the way, I fell in love with a different way of doing things.
Something smaller. More personal. A little less about what a wedding is supposed to look like, and a lot more about how you actually want it to feel.

A Little More About Me
The Face Behind Aurea
I’m based in Nelson, at the top of New Zealand’s South Island, and feel pretty lucky to call this part of the world home.
I’m also someone who genuinely loves the parts of this work most people find stressful - the planning, the logistics and all those tiny details that make a day feel effortless. I’m a details person through and through; I’ll probably be thinking three steps ahead, with a backup plan tucked away somewhere, while making sure none of that ever feels like yours to worry about.
But more than anything, I love the people part of this work; the conversations, the ideas, the trust you place in me, and getting to watch a day we’ve spent months dreaming about finally come to life.
